Since 1965, Saint Matthias School has been providing an outstanding Catholic education for the community of Somerset, as well as many of the surrounding areas.  Our school staff members, who have dedicated their lives to maintaining Catholic school values and traditions, exemplify the importance of faith in the lives of our children.  Based upon the model set by our staff, our students develop a personal love of and respect for the traditions and values of their Catholic education.  In addition, Saint Matthias School provides a technologically enriched educational environment. 

It is our belief that at Saint Matthias School, children grow through a nurturing, faith-based environment, which highlights the importance of service to its surrounding community and beyond.  It is quite evident to those who walk through our doors that Saint Matthias School fosters faith, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.  Lastly, and most importantly, our students are greeted each day with the following inspirational message:
